Glossary
Words are in alphabetical order. The wording in quotes is what you see in the app.
Access code
Section titled “Access code”The code you type on the sign-in page. Shoppers get a demo code from the brand or their dealer. Dealers, manufacturers and admins each have their own code. Codes are not passwords, and there is no username.
A GoAsk staff account. Admins can open every page: the catalogue, people and access, leads, analytics and settings. See Roles and permissions.
Backdrop
Section titled “Backdrop”The scene behind the ute in the 3D view. Choose from Hex Garage, Forest, CBD, Studio Beam and Clean Studio.
Balloon
Section titled “Balloon”A lump sum left owing at the end of a finance term. The weekly finance figure lets you set it from 0% up.
Bed cover
Section titled “Bed cover”“An electric roll cover over the tub.” In the app this is the EGR RollTrac. Select Open on the stage to roll it open and closed.
Everything you have chosen for one ute: the vehicle, colour, wheels, parts and number plate. The build lives in the page link, so a copied link reopens the same build.
Build total
Section titled “Build total”The price of the parts you added, including GST and fitting. The vehicle price is not in it unless you type one in.
Bull bar
Section titled “Bull bar”“A bar for the front, or keep the factory bumper.” The app offers a 4x4 alloy bull bar and a 2-post steel bull bar. Driving lights need a bull bar first.
Canopy
Section titled “Canopy”“A sealed canopy on the back. Fitting one takes the tray off.” A glass-side canopy sits on the factory tub and has lift-up glass doors.
Canopy load bars
Section titled “Canopy load bars”“Three low bars across the canopy roof, in line with the cab roof rack.” Fit the glass-side canopy first.
Dealer
Section titled “Dealer”A business that sells the manufacturer’s parts and follows up shoppers. Dealers use the dealer dashboard and their own settings.
Drive-away total
Section titled “Drive-away total”The build total plus the vehicle price, if you typed one in. This is the figure the weekly finance uses.
Finish
Section titled “Finish”Gloss or Matte paint. Choose it in the Colour step, above the colour swatches.
Gross Vehicle Mass, the most the loaded ute may legally weigh. The Summary step shows GVM, the vehicle’s tare weight, what your build adds, and the payload left.
A shopper who sent their build with the Get my build button. Dealers and admins see leads on their dashboards.
A suspension lift. The Suspension step lifts the ride height and sets the wheel offset.
Manufacturer
Section titled “Manufacturer”The brand whose parts are in the configurator, for example Oz Chivalry, Duratray or Ironman 4x4. Manufacturers see what their dealers are selling, and set their brand, email and dealer margin in Settings.
Margin
Section titled “Margin”The dealer’s share of a part’s price. The manufacturer sets the dealer margin in Settings. A dealer sees wholesale, gross margin and commission in the dealer view of the Summary step.
Number plate
Section titled “Number plate”“Letters and numbers, up to” the plate’s limit, or a name. It shows on the 3D model and on the proposal, and it is how a shopper finds their saved build again.
Payload
Section titled “Payload”The weight the ute can still carry after the build, “for passengers, gear and towball download.” The Summary step shows it and warns when a build is over GVM.
Proposal
Section titled “Proposal”The PDF a dealer emails to a customer. It has the build, the price, the finance figure and the dealer’s signature.
The price for a build. Select Get my build to send it to the dealer, or Download quote to keep a PDF.
Your registration plate. On the sign-in page, a shopper who already has a quote can open their saved build with their rego and mobile number.
Roof rack
Section titled “Roof rack”“A platform on the cab roof, on its own tracks and blades.” A roof light bar needs the roof rack first.
Shopper
Section titled “Shopper”Anyone building and pricing a ute. A shopper does not need an account, only the demo code.
The 3D view. The stage tools are Spin, Reset view, Save image, View and Backdrop.
Test Drive
Section titled “Test Drive”A driving game with your build in it. Select Test Drive in the top bar, then pick a map.
“An alloy tray on the back, or keep the factory tub.” Drawers, toolboxes and racks mount on a tray or a canopy.
The load area the ute comes with from the factory. Keeping the factory tub means no tray or canopy.
A utility vehicle with an open load area, like a Ranger, Hilux or D-Max. The configurator has 16 utes.
A camera angle in the 3D view: 3/4, Front, Side, Rear or Top.
Weekly finance
Section titled “Weekly finance”An indicative weekly repayment, “not a finance quote or credit offer.” You can change the term, rate, balloon, trade-in and deposit.
