Save and share your build

Before you start

Who: any shopper. You need: a build on the stage. Every choice you make is already in the page link, so there is nothing to submit first.

Copy a link to your build

1. Select Save build in the top bar. On a phone it is the second icon at the top.
2. “Build link copied” appears. The link is on your clipboard.
3. Paste it into a note, a message or an email. Anyone who opens it sees the same ute, colour, parts, plate and backdrop.

The link is long because the whole build is inside it. That is normal.

On a phone the top bar shows icons only: Test Drive, Save build, Share and Help, then Log out. The Help icon is a question mark on every screen. It opens this manual.

Send a picture with the price

1. Select Share in the top bar. On a phone it is the third icon.
2. The configurator takes a picture of the stage and puts a price bar under it with the ute’s name, the build total and the weekly figure.
3. On a phone, an iPad or a Mac, your device’s share sheet opens with the picture and the link. Pick WhatsApp, Messages, email or any app.
4. On a Windows computer, a window opens with WhatsApp, Text, Facebook, Download image and Copy link. Download the image and attach it, or copy the link.

Save a photo of the stage

1. Turn the ute the way you want it. Drag on the stage to spin it, or select View and pick 3/4, Front, Side, Rear or Top.
2. Select Save image on the stage, the camera icon. On a desktop the stage tools are open on the left of the panel. On a phone, select the sliders icon at the top right of the stage to open them.
3. A PNG image downloads to your device.

Find a build your dealer saved for you

When a dealer sends you a quote, they save the build with your rego and mobile number.

1. Open the configurator’s sign-in page.
2. Select Already got a quote from your dealer?
3. Type your rego and the mobile number you gave the dealer, then select View my build.
4. Your build opens in a read-only view. The banner says “Viewing your saved build” and names the dealer to contact for changes.

If it doesn’t work

• “Build link copied” appears but nothing pastes. Your browser blocked clipboard access. Copy the link from the address bar instead. It is the same link.
• Share opens nothing. Some browsers cannot share files. Select Save build to copy the link, and Save image to get the picture, then send them yourself.
• “No saved build found for that rego and mobile. Check both with your dealer.” The rego and mobile must match what the dealer typed. Ask the dealer to check the spelling and the number.
